Mandy is the Founder, Board President, and resident “Volunteer of Everything” of Transparency Alabama. Mandy received her degree in Geography (Earth System Science) and Philosophy from UA in 2022. Since graduating, Mandy has concurrently held various positions in policy research, programming, and community organizing with oranizations like the Greater-Birmingham Alliance to Stop Pollution and People’s Budget Birmingham. She is currently the Equity Chair of the Alabama Rivers Alliance YPRD. Mandy is passionate about education and youth empowerment and is known widely as “Ms. Mandy” across Jefferson County and surrounding school districts from her adventures in substitute teaching. In her spare time, she’s also a law student.
